Chrome OS 105 Features

New features of Chrome OS come out. Google's Chrome OS will eventually help Chromebook batteries last longer, but not yet. There are still two versions of Chrome OS 105 with new features.

Improvements:

The feature works by throttling inactive tabs' CPU load after 10 seconds of inactivity. The current version of Chrome OS will only idle a tab after five minutes of inactivity. By reducing the time to 10 seconds, the open tabs will be less demanding on the CPU, which equals less battery drain.

This is especially useful for people who operate their Chromebook with dozens of tabs open in multiple windows. Students and professionals using Chromebooks will start to notice better battery life between charges.

Fixes & Updates:

Chrome OS is ready to get its own version of adaptive charging. While a phone is usually fully charged in a low-power situation and is often relatively unused during the charging process, it's normal to have a laptop or Chromebook plugged in at your desk whether or not the battery is really low. time. However, letting a regular laptop battery fully charge for extended periods of time can negatively impact the battery's lifespan.

Most browsers put inactive tabs in a "sleep" state, which is a lovely way of saying that they disable or restrict tabs you're not actively using. This reduces CPU load on inactive tabs, frees up some RAM, and improves battery life.
